Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka, born in Minsk (the capital of Belarus), is the daughter of Sergey. Sergey was a player in the hockey league. Aryna Sabalenka was born 5 May 1998, in Minsk Belarus. Her 12 WTA singles titles include the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is another sport where she excels. The US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both played by Elise Mertens. With the Belgian tennis star she was a WTA 1000s winner in Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. Only four women's doubles teams achieve this feat. The world's singles ranking rose yet again, reaching its top position on January 20, 2023. After winning the Melbourne doubles competition in February 2021, she was able rise up the rankings to take the first spot on the list of that particular specialty. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) coached her for part of the 2019 season as well as from the year 2018 until closing. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has been coaching her for the past few years, starting in 2020. Serena Williams is her role model, followed by Maria Sharapova.
